Launching Monday: 12 Days of Innovation Inspiration for Marketers #12DMI

It’s really hard in life to have work-life balance.  Our own Liz Kaufman introduced Covalent to a refinement of the concept:  work-work balance.  We spend so much time focused on the day to day that we forget about truly challenging our thinking.  Work-work balance is carving out a portion of the day or week or even month to dedicate to advancing your thinking.

With that in mind, we are launching a series called the 12 Days of Innovation.  It will appear simultaneously on the Covalent Marketing Blog (my employer) and here.  Starting Monday, January 30, 2012, we will be offering you one source of great innovative content or thinking every day – including the weekend.  As much as possible, we’ll be tweeting links on innovation, innovators, strategic thinking and ways to reinvent the lens through which you see the world.

It is my fervent hope that after you start to find even the smallest amount of innovation-oriented work-work balance, you’ll be hooked.  The good news is that a little goes a long way.  I know you might not believe me, but give it a chance.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised how wonderful it can feel to free your mind, and the rest of the organization can follow.

Here’s your first peek forward to Monday: we’ll head east for our first eye-opening Innovation Leader.  We’ll head to Boston and introduce you to a brilliant group of scientists, artists and professionals exploring 350 projects that can transform our lives.

Thanks for coming along for the ride.  Here’s to new ideas you can apply to your business.
