Welcome to the future state of marketing
Hi. My name is cristene. I hope this blog can be an interactive dialogue on the future state of marketing and CRM – one which we all create and participate in creating. To say we are at an inflection point in how we communicate with our customers, one in which both sides are actively engaged in driving the future does not overstate the truth.
Through this blog, I hope to highlight great examples – and perhaps some failed attempts as well – of how we can develop those deep and engaging relationships. Ultimately, I would like companies, artists and creative-types and consumers to add their two cents to a pot of value we can all use.
For those of you who stumble upon this blog, I guess I should tell you who I am. I am marketing strategist in discipline, and have worked across the aisle between marketers and technologist to deliver transformational customer experiences. I have held senior marketing positions and have worked in brand marketing and direct marketing. I have also spent considerable time with contact centers, web-marketers and emerging business models. Currently, I am the CRM research lead in IBM’s Institute for Business Value, so I am blessed with the ability to take the longer view to help clients solve their needs, while being able to deliver on the promise of today.
However, this will not just be about my experience. I have a host of experts who I intend to ask to share their perspectives with you, and hopefully, you with us. So, with that, let us begin. I look forward to shaping the next generation of customer experience with you.
